Kidlat Awards Festival 2010:
PURE CREATIVITY

The 2010 Kidlat Awards Festival will again be held at the Boracay Regency Hotel this year. The dates to mark are Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 April. It’s another opportunity for the advertising industry’s creative leaders to review the year’s best work, network and learn from some of the leading professionals in the region.

Guest judges are: Tay Guan Hin of JWT Asia Pacific, who is also heading the Outdoor jury at Cannes Lions this year; Eugene Cheong of Ogilvy Asia Pacific, Asia’s most awarded copywriter. and Marcus Rebeschini from Y&R Asia Pacific, who has previously been named ‘Advertising Person of the Year’ by Campaign Brief Asia.

Two young creative teams will be competing to represent The Philippines in the Cannes Young Lions competition. They will compete in the Film and the Cyber categories, and will be funded by the Creative Guild and generous industry sponsors. It all means that the country has two great chances to shine in the South of France this year.

The Guild has expanded Outdoor, Integrated and Direct competitions and there are more technical and craft awards too. Finally, to mark the end of the ‘Noughties’ we will be choosing the Kidlat Ads of the Decade in TV, Radio and Print (the only categories which we had in 2000!).
